Small Groups

Small groups provide a way for our young people to connect and build a place of community. This atmosphere gives a safe, welcoming environment for vulnerability and accountability while learning more about growing in relationship with Christ. This is accomplished through Bible study, worship, group prayer, service projects and fun activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, cookouts, camping trips and other recreation.

We love getting to know each other better and growing in life together. Karis is our young women’s ministry and Brotherhood is our young men’s ministry

Karis – Girl’s Small Group

Accepted and Favored in the beloved – Ephesians 1:6

Karis, is an Ancient Greek word which means “accepted in grace”, “highly favored” and “chosen”. We desire to encourage each other in deeper relationship with the one who created us and build Godly young women with courage, character and confidence through spiritual growth, mentoring, accountability and healthy Christian relationships.

…”Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

We believe if we approach everything with courage and faith in Christ, we will be able to face the unpredictable trials in life with a positive and conquering attitude. We are bold and passionate in our pursuit of Jesus and others.

“…put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.” – Colossians 3:12-13

Our goal is to be Christ-like in our actions and words; to share each others burdens, always extending the same forgiveness and love that Christ offers us. We challenge each other in our relationships and our journey with Jesus.

“But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. – Jeremiah 1:7-8

We encourage young women to learn their identity in Christ and build their confidence as disciples and leaders through powerful teaching and Godly mentoring.

Brotherhood – Guy’s Small Group

Be Kindly Affectionate To One Another With Brother Love, In Honor Of Giving Preference To One Another – ROMANS 12:10

The Brotherhood young men’s ministry focuses on a Christ-centered bond between a band of brothers who spur one another on towards a reckless, intimate relationship with God, self and others.

“…their passion smoldered all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire” – Hosea 7:6

We believe that with a passion in all we do, God will raise up and empower leaders to reach a generation of men who desire to share the love of Christ through real relationship.

“therefore having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one  another” – Ephesians 4:25

We provide an atmosphere that is free of judgement and full of love. The brotherhood is a safe place to be fully known. We are an empathetic ministry that is devoted to carrying each others burdens.

“like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation” – 1 Peter 2:2

We are always trying to grow in our relationships. We will challenge, question and guide each other towards love and truth using the Word of God.

“From Him, the whole body, joined and held together by each and every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” – Ephesians 4:16

We strive to unite as one body with Christ as the head. A body who knows its parts and functions with a deeper understanding of God, self, and others. We spend time digging in the word and challenging each other on our walk with God.
